  1. What size of cake should I order?

    The size of cake is determined by the number of guests you will have for your occasion and if either you are serving it as coffee portion or dessert-sized portion. If you are planning to serve your cake with other desserts, coffee portion is recommended. Note: A dessert-sized portion is usually double the size of coffee portion.

  2. Do you deliver or allow for pick-up?

    Yes, we offer both. Simple Ingredients will gladly deliver to all Sydney metro locations. Delivery charges will apply. Sunday deliveries are available but there will be additional charges depending on locations. Please contact us for a quick quote.

  3. Do you have a store I can go and visit?

    Currently we do not have a store front. We do not have any desserts pre-made for sale. However, we are available for consultations by appointment.

  4. What if I am not sure what kind of cakes, pastries or mini treats I want?

    We would be happy to create something especially for you and consultation in person can be arranged to figure out what type of desserts, flavours and designs you want. Choices are not limited to the ones shown on our website. Please make an appointment with us for a personal consultation by phone or via email.

  5. What are the factors that influence the price?

    The final price will be influenced by the size, design and amount of detail of the cake. For pastries or mini treats, the number of treats, design and decorations in detail will affect the final price. We would be happy to work within your budgets. Design consultations and cost estimates can be done either by phone, via email or in person (by appointment).

  6. When should I make an order? How much notice do you need?

    For wedding cakes, we prefer 6 weeks' notice to avoid disappointment, and for other special occasions' cakes, we prefer 3 weeks' notice. For other cakes, pastries or mini treats, we prefer 1-2 weeks' notice. At times we are happy to accommodate late requests depending on production levels.

  7. How should I store the cakes?

    Instructions to store each cake, pastry or mini treat will be given upon collection or delivery, as each may need to be handled differently, depending on the nature of desserts.

  8. How do I order a cake?

    You can place an order by giving us a call on 0412 048 115 or contact us at orders@simpleingredients.com.au, with the following information:

    • Date of your event
    • Type of your event
    • Delivery or collection
    • Number of servings (size of cake or number of mini treats)
    • Flavour
    • Design or decorations

  9. How should I pay?

    Currently we only accept direct bank deposit, electronic funds transfer or cash payment. To secure your cake order, a 50% deposit is required within 7 days after the invoice is sent. Please check for more details under our terms and conditions.
